Mosquito Misting & LIV Systems in Decatur, AL

Two Automated Protection Paths, Matched to Your Yard

Mosquito Authority of Decatur, AL offers two automated mosquito control solutions for Decatur, Alabama, homeowners: a misting system and LIV smart repellent system. A licensed technician walks your property and recommends the system that fits your yard’s specific layout and conditions. Both systems extend protection beyond the standard 21-day treatment cycle and are backed by a service guarantee: if mosquitoes return, we re-treat your property at no charge.

Automatic Mosquito Misting System

The Automatic Mosquito Misting System starts with an installed nozzle circuit placed throughout your property. Once in place, it automatically disperses treatment two to three times daily to help reduce mosquitoes and other insects across covered areas. You manage the whole system from your smartphone: adjust timing, pause it while you’re away, or respond to shifts in activity. It runs so you don’t have to think about it.

Monthly maintenance service keeps the system running at full performance. Our team handles installation, servicing, and upkeep, so the only thing you manage is the schedule on your phone.

LIV Smart Mosquito Repellent System

The LIV Smart Mosquito Repellent System takes a different approach. A Smart Hub powers and controls up to five repellers through low-voltage plug-and-play cables, creating a protected zone across your outdoor space. Each repeller covers a 20-foot diameter zone, making it well-suited for patios, decks, pools, and play areas where your family spends the most time.

Heat-activated repellent begins working within minutes of activation. The LIV+ app gives you on-demand scheduling and sends low-repellent alerts so you know when refills are needed without guesswork. Once installed, the system runs year after year with no additional setup on your part.

Does Your Decatur Yard Need an Automated System?

Not every yard requires a misting or LIV system. Recurring spray treatments handle most situations. But some properties carry heavier mosquito pressure where an installed system becomes the more practical solution.

These signs point toward automated protection:

• Swarms during gatherings even after a recent treatment visit
• Persistent standing water that can’t be fully eliminated from the property
• Bites occurring mid-day or in areas treated within the past week
• Dense vegetation or water features creating high-breeding conditions
• Property size or layout that needs more consistent coverage than a recurring spray program provides

Riverfront and wooded lots along Wheeler Lake create conditions that support elevated mosquito breeding pressure in the Decatur area. Pairing an installed system with consistent yard upkeep gives the strongest possible protection for that kind of environment.
