Outdoor Fly Control Services for Yards, Patios & Decks

Flies breed fast. A small population around a garbage can or patch of standing water can move onto your patio or deck before you know it, landing on food, bothering guests, and turning a backyard gathering into something you want to escape. Mosquito Authority of St Louis, MO provides fly control services designed to treat the problem at the source so your outdoor space stays yours.

Our licensed professionals know where flies breed, where they gather, and how to reduce populations where your family actually spends time. This isn’t a one-time spray treatment. It’s a recurring seasonal service built around your yard.

How Our Trap-Based Fly Treatment Works

Our approach centers on strategic trap placement rather than blanket chemical application. Every yard gets an individual assessment before we place anything because yard layout, landscaping, and outdoor use patterns all affect where fly pressure concentrates.

Once we’ve evaluated your property, traps are positioned following precise placement standards:

Height and distance: Fly traps are placed 4 to 6 feet above ground and 30 to 50 feet from the home, positioning them where flies are active without drawing them closer to your doors and windows
Bait attractant: Each trap uses bait designed to attract and capture flies, pulling them away from the areas where you eat and relax
Clear trap casings: Casings are clear so you see results working in real time, without having to take our word for it
Inconspicuous placement: Traps are set back and out of sightlines to keep your yard looking clean, so they don’t interrupt your outdoor space

Service visits are timed throughout the season to keep fly populations controlled. Between visits, the traps stay on the job.

Our Service Guarantee & Commitment Terms

Every fly control treatment comes with a service guarantee: if flies return between visits, we come back, reassess your property, and retreat at no additional charge. You shouldn’t have to wonder whether the service is holding up.

There are no long-term commitments here. Keep the service as long as it works for you, and let us know before your next visit if you want to stop. No contracts, no penalties, no friction.

Call (314) 230-9055 or fill out our online contact form to request your free quote. We can assess your yard and put together a plan that fits it.

Why Recurring Service Beats a Single Treatment

Flies have short life cycles. During warm St. Louis summers, a population can expand from a handful of adults to a much larger presence within days. Eggs hatch and new adults emerge quickly, even after an initial treatment removes the existing population. A single application addresses what’s there today. It doesn’t account for what hatches next week.

Recurring seasonal service solves this by maintaining ongoing trap coverage throughout the period when fly populations are active. Rather than reacting each time flies reappear, the traps stay in place and keep working between visits, interrupting the cycle before pressure builds back up.

Reducing Fly Attractants Between Visits

Professional fly control does the heavy lifting, but a few simple habits can reduce what’s drawing flies to your yard in the first place. The goal is removing food signals before flies find them.

Practical steps that make a difference:

Outdoor trash and recycling containers: Tight-fitting lids limit exposed food waste, one of the strongest fly attractants in any yard
Grills, tables, and dining surfaces: Cleaning these after use removes food residue before flies find it
Compost bins: Keeping bins covered and positioned away from decks and patios limits fly access to decaying organic matter

Combined with recurring service, these habits help keep fly pressure lower between visits.
