When it comes to mosquito and tick control, barrier protection is a winning strategy
Our service is based on the 3-week life cycle of the typical mosquito. Each time we visit your property we do an inspection of the treatment area, and identify standing water that could serve as a mosquito breeding area. When possible, we eliminate the standing water. In areas where we cannot eliminate the standing water we apply a granular treatment that eradicates the larvae of the mosquito.
We then move on to applying our barrier treatment which focuses on shaded areas that mosquitoes prefer as habitat like bushes, trees, and shrubs. Our barrier treatment continues to eliminate mosquitoes on contact for up to 3 weeks. Every 21 days we return to repeat the process.
PROTECTIVE BARRIER TREATMENTS VS. OTHER METHODS
Protective barrier treatments work by strategically treating areas most common for mosquito breeding. They’re effective whether you deal with mosquitoes seasonally, or year-round. Mosquito Authority has become a leader in tick and mosquito control because we know how to make the most of this technique.

The Process of Implementing a Protective Barrier Treatment
OUR MOSQUiTO & TICK Control PROCESS
First, we’ll assess your property to identify the places where mosquitoes are nesting. Every yard has lots of hotspots for us to evaluate, including:
- Standing water like ponds
- Tall grass
- Logs or trees
- Rock fixtures
This is one reason it’s important to trust professionals with mosquito control – if you don’t have much experience, it’s easy to overlook places they hide.

WE DELIVER A CUSTOM TREATMENT PLAN
We’ll take multiple factors into consideration to create a custom treatment plan for your property. The size, time of year, and region are just a few examples.
The end result is a property that’s free from mosquitoes, and will stay that way between treatments.
How long will your property stay mosquito free? That will depend on your unique situation, and once we’ve assessed things, we can give you a personalized estimate. To keep mosquitoes away, we’ll need to set up a plan to retreat your property periodically. But don’t worry – our teams work quickly and efficiently, and will keep your yard mosquito-free without any hassle.
MosquitoeS can breed from
Early Spring to Late fall
In order to best control mosquitoes in your yard, it is recommended to start as early as possible in the Spring and continue treatments as late as possible in the Fall. When adult mosquitoes lay eggs, those eggs can survive the colder months (even the harshest winter), so treating your property in the Spring, Summer, and Fall will best control the mosquito population. The length of mosquito season will depend on your climate, so it is best to contact your local office for the recommended treatment schedule.

No Mosquitoes. GUARANTEED.
While nothing can eliminate every mosquito from your property, our service works so well we guarantee you won’t be bothered by mosquitoes between treatments. If you are? Well, all you have to do is call. We’ll come back out, re-assess your property, and, if necessary, re-treat at no additional charge. No Commitments, No Contracts. Cancel Anytime.
We’re so confident in our mosquito barrier treatment services, we don’t require long-term commitments. The most effective way to keep mosquitoes under control is to set up a regular maintenance program. Some exterminators ask customers to commit to regular treatments in advance, but that’s not how we do business at Mosquito Authority. We’re so confident that you’ll love our services, you choose to enlist our team for future treatments without any contracts.
