Best In Class For Tick Barrier Control Services

Similar to our mosquito control services, our goal with ticks is to disrupt the lifecycle, starting at larvae to help reduce habitats on a long-term basis. While you can buy tick repellents at any hardware store, there are considerable disadvantages to relying on them if you don’t have tick control experience.

Our team has nearly two decades of experience dealing with ticks, and we know how to effectively control them on your property. We develop a custom plan based on the unique factors of your situation, like your region and the time of year. All of this helps to increase the likelihood that ticks will be wiped out on the spot and will stay away for longer.

Once we’ve finished our initial treatment, we’ll work with you to develop a schedule for re-treatment, so you never need to worry about ticks creeping back onto your property.

Through their bites, ticks can expose your family to diseases; including neurotoxins, allergens, bacteria, parasites, and viruses. A tickborne illness can range from mild to life-threatening, and constitute a substantial and growing public health problem in the United States.

Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the United States. A recently released estimate based on insurance records suggests that approximately 476,000 Americans are diagnosed and treated for Lyme disease each year.  In addition to a large burden of illness, areas where Lyme disease is common are expanding.

No Mosquitoes.  GUARANTEED.

While nothing can eliminate every mosquito from your property, our service works so well we guarantee you won’t be bothered by mosquitoes between treatments. If you are? Well, all you have to do is call. We’ll come back out, re-assess your property, and, if necessary, re-treat at no additional charge.

No Commitments, No Contracts. Cancel Anytime.

We’re so confident in our mosquito barrier treatment services, we don’t require long-term commitments. The most effective way to keep mosquitoes under control is to set up a regular maintenance program. Some exterminators ask customers to commit to regular treatments in advance, but that’s not how we do business at Mosquito Authority. We’re so confident that you’ll love our services, you choose to enlist our team for future treatments without any contracts.

RESOURCES

Preventing Ticks in Your Yard

Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases are on the rise in the United States. In addition to professional tick control, there are several steps you can take to create a “tick-safe zone” on your property. According to the Centers for Disease Control, you should:

  • Remove leaf litter.
  • Clear tall grasses and brush around homes and at the edge of lawns.
  • Place a 3-ft wide barrier of wood chips or gravel between lawns and wooded areas to restrict tick migration into recreational areas.
  • Mow the lawn frequently.
  • Stack wood neatly and in a dry area (this discourages rodents).
  • Keep playground equipment, decks, and patios away from yard edges and trees.
  • Discourage unwelcome animals (such as deer, raccoons, and stray dogs) from entering your yard by constructing fences.
  • Remove old furniture, mattresses, or trash from the yard that may give ticks a place to hide.

The Dangers of Ticks Includes Lyme Disease and many more

With the increase in tick numbers has come an upsurge in tick-borne diseases. Lyme disease is still the most well-known and most common. But now we can add Anaplasmosis, Babesiosis, Borrelia miyamotoi disease, Ehrlichiosis, and Powasson virus to the list of tick worries.
